Project management consultancy PM-Partners expands west to Perth

Australian project management consultancy and training specialist PM-Partners has expanded to Western Australia with a new office in Perth.
Last year celebrating its 25th anniversary, the new office of PM-Partners in Perth joins its headquarters in Sydney and established bases in Melbourne, Canberra, Singapore and its most recent addition in Brisbane, which together train more than 15,000 people annually across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
“We are thrilled to bring PM-Partners’ proven training expertise to Western Australia at a time when organisations are navigating economic uncertainty, industry disruption, and digital transformation,” stated Dominic Frost, who was appointed CEO in 2021 after holding previous senior roles at SAS, Oracle and NTT Data.
PM-Partners said the launch of a permanent centre in Perth – located at 111 St Georges Terrace in the CBD – builds on its existing track record supporting the likes of Rio Tinto, Westpac, and the WA government, and will offer a comprehensive range of courses with globally recognised project management certifications in areas such as agile, IT services, methodology, and fundamentals.
“Our public training courses and tailored in-house programs will equip local professionals and teams to strengthen project management practices, embrace agile ways of working, and deliver change faster, with less risk and greater confidence,” Frost said.
Anchoring the expansion is Brett Baker, who comes on board as a senior facilitator and brings almost four decades worth of training and advisory experience supporting local and international organisations across a wide range of sectors, including resources, transport, health, and education, with broad expertise in both traditional and agile program and project management delivery frameworks.

Baker’s addition to the team pushes the firm’s overall headcount to around the 400-mark, further boosted by the launch of its Brisbane office last year. Established by Stephen Hewitson, Peter Swan, and Nik Samuelson, the business was acquired by sprawling Japanese human resources giant Outsourcing for $40 million in 2018 – which was in turn bought by Bain Capital at the end of 2023.
PM-Partners also provides expert staffing and recruitment services alongside its training offering, as well as among other areas project and program delivery and advisory, outsourced PMO, business process improvement, assurance, and change management, and says that it supports the delivery of $3 billion worth of projects and programs per year.
