Anchoram Consulting expands international presence with new arm in Canada

Australian data, technology and cybersecurity services firm Anchoram Consulting has set the next step in its international growth strategy with the launch of a new arm in Canada.
Anchoram Consulting was founded in 2019, and over the past six years, the firm has consistently grown to its current size of over 50 staff. The consulting firm has to date delivered over 70 projects in Australia to clients in a diverse range of sectors, including Australian Federal, State, and Local governments, defence, and critical infrastructure industry.
In 2022, Anchoram Consulting kicked off its internationalisation strategy with an office in India, where it has delivered work for local clients such as Zomato, Blinkit, Business Standard, and Bharat Hotels. That venture has been followed up by a growing roster of engagements in other markets such as New Zealand and Singapore.
“Expanding into Canada marks an exciting next chapter in our internationalisation plan,” said Glenn Ashe, CEO and Co-Founder of Anchoram Consulting. “We see a real opportunity to partner with Canadian organisations who are navigating change and seeking consultants driven by values, such as integrity, empathy, authenticity, and professionalism.”
Asked why the company picked Canada as its next destination for a third office, Co-Founder and COO Harry Cheema said: “Canada was an easy choice. Australia and Canada have enjoyed decades of reciprocal partnerships and are aligned culturally and on policy in many areas, including defence and security, trade, economic growth, migration, transportation, Indigenous, social, cultural, academic, and regional issues.”
Chris Moore
To setup and build out the Canadian business, which will operate out of Ottawa and Toronto, Anchoram Consulting has brought Chris Moore on board, a respected leader within the region for his work across government and enterprise sectors, having prior experience as CIO at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, as well as the City of Edmonton and the City of Brampton. He also brings experience in the banking, financial services, and energy sectors.
“Our experience in India, which is a very different and difficult market to enter, has already taught us some really good lessons. One of the key considerations was to find a leader whose values align with ours and who can guide us with their experience in the market to ensure we set up well to serve the specific needs of the Canadian business and public sectors,” said Cheema. “We are delighted to welcome Chris.”
Commenting on his appointment, Moore said: “Anchoram Consulting’s commitment to purpose-driven consulting and sustainable outcomes is what sets it apart. I’m looking forward to building a team here that extends these values and continues to drive transformational change to an exciting new market.”
