Infosys teams up with Mental Health Foundation for wellbeing app

Global technology consultancy Infosys has teamed up with Mental Health Foundation Australia to build a new mobile app designed to raise awareness and provide real time support.

The ‘Supportive Mind’ app will provide a range of tools to support users to prioritise their well-being and adopt simple, beneficial habits in their daily routines.

The initiative is part of Infosys’ CSR commitment to using technology to foster community well-being, and will initially be rolled out through pilot programs in the education, corporate, and community sectors across Australia and New Zealand.

“At Infosys, our purpose is to amplify human potential and create opportunities for people to thrive,” said Asia Pacific executive vice president Andrew Groth. “We understand the critical role mental health awareness plays in building inclusive, supportive communities, and we are excited to see this initiative drive meaningful change for individuals and communities alike.”

Aimed at individuals who may be finding it difficult to juggle busy lifestyles due to overlapping work, education and personal or family commitments, key features of the app include a mood tracking and insights function, personalised activity recommendations, walking challenges, fundraising campaigns, self-care tools, and wellness tips delivered via push notifications.

In order to analyse performance metrics to effectively measure the app’s social impact, the designers at Infosys leveraged the firm’s AI stack Topaz, which combines a range of services, solutions, and platforms built around generative AI technologies, including the more than 200 enterprise AI agents launched last month in collaboration with Google Cloud.

“We are thrilled to introduce Supportive Mind to the public in collaboration with Infosys,” said MHFA chairperson Melissa Green. “This app showcases our commitment to improving physical and mental health through innovative solutions. With Supportive Mind, users can easily incorporate well-being activities into their daily lives, helping them achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle.

Established in Victoria in 1930, MHFA bills itself as Australia’s oldest community-based mental health organisation, and today reaches and supports over 500,000 residents per year via health awareness and education programs, workshops, peer support groups, and low-cost individual counselling sessions through its recently established ‘wellness hub’ clinic.
