Moore adds six new senior leaders on both sides of the country

Accounting and consulting firm Moore has made a number of mid-year senior promotions in Brisbane and Perth, while also welcoming Hugo Anderson as a new partner in Coffs Harbour.

Hugo Anderson joins Moore after a decade and a half at PwC, and will serve as CFO for the firm’s combined Queensland and Northern NSW branch, with Michelle D’souza also being promoted to partner in its Brisbane office.

Meanwhile, Moore’s Western Australian member has made four director promotions in Perth across its audit, business advisory and wealth management divisions, including James Arthur, Katherine Gardner, Miles Jacob, and Linvani.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our new appointees,” said national chair David Tomasi. “Each of them embodies the innovation and connection that define how we work at Moore, and their leadership will help us continue to evolve the way we serve clients and ultimately support the organisations that make up Australia’s economy.”

Joining Moore as a business advisory partner, Hugo Anderson has been with PwC for the past fifteen years, serving private clients, family businesses and high net worth individuals in the property, construction, manufacturing, agriculture and retail sectors among others on structuring, tax, planning, and compliance matters.

“We’re proud to be attracting professionals of Hugo’s calibre, which is a reflection of our focus on quality, growth, and commitment to regional leadership,” said branch CEO Matt Thomson. “It’s a sign that our vision is resonating, and that our regions offer the opportunity, lifestyle and professional challenges today’s leaders are looking for.”

Michelle D’souza has meanwhile been admitted to the partnership in Anderson’s sister office in Brisbane, where she likewise provides taxation, compliance, planning, structuring, and business advisory to clients in the property, construction, retail, and food production sectors among others. D’souza joined Moore in 2020 after previous stints at PKF and UHY.

Across the country, four new members have been added to Moore’s director team in Perth, including Miles Jacob (superannuation, tax, financial advisory) and Linvani (auditing and accounting), who have both been with the firm for around a decade and a half after respectively joining from Shakespeare Financial Group and KPMG.

The other pair, accounting and audit directors James Arthur and Katherine Gardner, have respectively been with the firm since 2015 and 2018 after joining from UHY and Irish accountancy Meagher Moynihan, and serve ASX-listed and other clients operating in sectors such as construction, property, mining, manufacturing and local government.
