Rimkus strengthens dispute resolution and quantum team with John Donnelly

Rimkus, a global engineering and management consulting firm, has appointed John Donnelly as Director and Quantum Expert in its Australian business.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor and an experienced quantum expert, John Donnelly brings more than 30 years of pre- and post-contract experience across the infrastructure, healthcare, and energy industries to Rimkus.

With a dual qualification in both technical and legal disciplines, Donnelly brings a well-rounded and evidence-based perspective to complex commercial and contractual matters in construction and engineering projects. He also is a qualified Adjudicator, with a strong track record in managing complex submissions to support efficient resolution.

Throughout his career, Donnelly has been involved in numerous dispute resolution processes, including arbitration, mediation, and adjudication in multi-million-dollar contracts across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe. He has extensive experience in preparing and defending contractual claims and is frequently appointed as a quantum expert witness in arbitration and litigation.

“It’s strange how life can go full circle, as I previously worked with many of the Rimkus (and Hinds Blunden) team 26 years ago in Melbourne,” said Donnelly on his return. “It is wonderful to be back and be an integral part of the extensive Rimkus delay and quantum team.”
