Capital Consulting International to reband as Rimkus in coming weeks
Acquired by Rimkus in 2021, Capital Consulting International (CCi) will now continue its 25-year growth journey under its parent’s brand, alongside its own recent addition Hargreaves Jones.
Bringing together expertise in forensic consulting, dispute resolution, built environment solutions, and commercial & project management, Rimkus said the united brand will provide clients with a clear one-stop shop for all their needs.
Rimkus, a 40-year old engineering and technical consultancy based out of the US, significantly expanded its global reach through the purchase of CCi in 2021, including in Australia, courtesy of the latter’s own push into the country in the same month.
Now, from the end of this month, the combined entities will boast somewhere in the order of 1,500 professionals stationed across more than 100 offices worldwide operating under the single umbrella. Yet, while the Rimkus logo has received a slight tweak, the firm said that all of the existing service lines and client relations across Rimkus, CCi and Hargreaves Jones would remain unchanged.
“Our shared intention is to become a one-stop-solution by introducing new integrated services and expanding the strength and breadth of our expertise across our global network,” said Rimkus global services group president Mark Barrow. “To date, all three businesses have embarked on a quest for growth. By coming together as Rimkus, we are now on a quest for growth together.”
As to CCi, which specialises in delay & quantum advisory and project management to the construction and insurance sectors, the London-based consultancy’s recent growth mission included the pick up of Australia-based contemporary Aston Consult in the weeks prior its own sale, adding a team of around 30 experts, including current CCi Asia Pacific co-leaders James Funge and Simon Lowe.
Since then, with the backing of Rimkus (which also recently received the fresh backing of private equity firm HGGC), CCi has continued its own local expansion through the addition of a South Australian hub to its existing bases in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, along with making a number of key appointments, including the promotion of Sandra Hugo as Victoria regional director.
“CCi has grown significantly, and we have plans for this to continue under the Rimkus brand,” said global chief Jonathan Higgins. “Our goal is to become a worldwide leader in construction consulting and support, engineering, and life sciences, and to do so we must leverage the collective strength of our people by uniting under the one brand with a commitment to industry-leading customer service.”
