Proxima accelerates APAC expansion with hires and 50% headcount growth plan
Global procurement and supply chain consultancy Proxima has continued its investment in the Asia-Pacific region with several new senior appointments in the past period and plans to grow regional headcount by up to 50% through 2027.
The expansion follows a period of strong momentum across Asia-Pacific as organisations increasingly seek specialist support to navigate cost pressures, supply chain complexity, and transformation agendas.
Part of Bain & Company, Proxima is an award-winning procurement and supply chain consultancy serving clients worldwide. Its Asia Pacific unit – which last year merged with ArcBlue – has around 150 professionals.
Over the past six months, Proxima has strengthened its team in the region with hires and promotions, adding depth in consulting, delivery, and leadership.
In Australia, the firm appointed Asha Salathiel (Vice President) and MyLinh Burgio (Principal Consultant) in Brisbane, while Karl van Nes was named a Vice President in Sydney. Australia-based Kate Cowdroy-Ling was meanwhile promoted to Operations Lead for APAC.
In Asia, Kenneth Tan was appointed Principal Consultant and Nadia Chand as Marketing Director APAC, both are based in Singapore. Darryl Ho was appointed as Principal Consultant in Kuala Lumpur.
“The calibre of talent we’re attracting in APAC demonstrates both the strength of our regional proposition and the significant opportunity ahead,” said Dan Collings, Executive Vice President at Proxima. “We’re building the team that will establish Proxima as the partner of choice for procurement transformation across Asia-Pacific.”
Collings noted that Proxima is seeing strong momentum working with organisations across airlines, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and technology sectors. “With our growing regional team and expanding client base, we’re confident in our position as a long-term partner for organisations across Asia-Pacific. We’re combining global expertise with deep local market understanding and the demand we’re seeing validates this approach.”
Looking ahead, Proxima plans to build on its momentum and increase regional headcount by up to 50%. The consulting firm is actively seeking talent with procurement and consulting expertise across facilities management, logistics, professional services, and technology sectors.
“This is a true statement of intent in the region,” Collings commented. “Asia-Pacific represents a critical growth engine for Proxima globally, and we’re backing that with significant investment in people, capability, and local market presence.”
