Cor Cordis launches new office in Parramatta, 5th nationally
National business advisory firm Cor Cordis has launched a new office in Parramatta, with the aim of expanding its presence in Western Sydney.
The firm’s fifth national office – Cor Cordis also has hubs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney – caters to growing demand for services from Western Sydney, which is a major driver of economic growth in the region.
According to a recent report by PwC, Parramatta’s economic growth is set to almost double over the next five years and the city is on track to become a leading business hub. The city is already home to a range of consulting counterparts, including BDO, Deloitte and KPMG.
“We believe it is critical that businesses in Greater Western Sydney have access to the best consultants locally,” said Neil Cussen, Partner-in-Charge for Cor Cordis in New South Wales.
“With Greater Western Sydney emerging as a major driver of economic growth, with a growing population, an emerging infrastructure boom and thriving key industries, we feel the time is right to establish a presence in this area.”
Now in its 15th year, Cor Cordis (140 staff including 20 partners) provides a range of consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses, focused around four topics: advisory, restructuring and turnaround, insolvency, and forensics.
The firm is however most known for its heritage in restructuring, which will be one of the key propositions in the early days of the new Parramatta operation. Cussen: “Businesses continue to feel the impact of Covid-19 and economic uncertainty. We are well placed to provide Greater Western Sydney businesses with support and advice as they continue to navigate the current climate.”
Meanwhile, Cussen (a former Deloitte partner) added that the new hub will enrich the work experience the firm can offers its employees based in the region. “Now we can offer our staff who live in Greater Western Sydney the opportunity to also work in the area. Because our team lives locally, they better understand the issues facing businesses in the region.”
The new office, situated at Level 5, 3 Horwood Place, is formally opening its doors coming Wednesday.
