Accenture brings CEO-led Transformation service line to the region

Global consulting firm Accenture has brought its CEO-led Transformation service line to the region, with Australia-based Jo McConnell hired to helm the practice across Australia, Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East and India. 

Part of Accenture’s Talent and Organisation practice, the CEO-led Transformation service line helps C-suite clients with “building and reinventing their organisation”, with a focus on the people side of change.

Among the offerings housed within the service line are helping leaders shape the purpose of their organisation, building a more sustainable organisation, enhancing the effectiveness of the board and executive teams, and growing diversity, equity and inclusion.

Commenting on the new capability, Gaston Carrion, a Managing Director and Leader of the Talent and Organisation practice for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, said: “Acceleration of change requires organisations to react quickly to market shifts, enabling their teams to embrace transformation and innovation. A new paradigm is needed to support the next evolution of growth and enable innovation across the various horizons.”

The CEO-led Transformation service line brings together a number of capabilities from the Talent and Organisation practice (such as leadership, culture, organisation strategy, talent management, change) and from across the Accenture business (mainly the other practices within Strategy & Consulting). 

Leading the service line regionally is Jo McConnell, who joins Accenture from AusNet Services, where she led the People, Sustainability & Transformation operation. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Latitude Financial Services and spent over seventeen years at BHP Billiton, latterly as Vice President Human Resources.

Last month, Accenture bolstered its Talent and Organisation practice with the acquisition of YSC Consulting, a 200-stong consultancy specialised in leadership and talent services.
