SCD Advisory advises Byte on acquisition of RiseCX

IT service business Byte has acquired RiseCX, a Melbourne-based provider of services and solutions for the contact centre environment. SCD Advisory provided buy-side M&A advisory to the transaction.

The deal between the two companies comes on the back on a multi-year collaboration, and the chief executive officer of Byte, Stacy Gurrie, said the purchase demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering the best possible experience for its customers.

RiseCX helps organisations improve and digitise their contact center operations, offering consulting, cloud and systems integration solutions. “The integration of RiseCX expands and extends our offering in the areas of customer experience and digital in the contact centre segment,” said Gurrie.

Byte is a professional services and managed services provider that delivers end-to-end solutions in network connectivity, infrastructure (public and private cloud), modern workplaces, security, and contact centres.

During the deal, the Melbourne-based company (around 100 staff) received financial deal advisory support from SCD Advisory. Commenting on the transaction, Pierre Briand, founder of SCD Advisory said: “This synergetic move will allow Byte to deliver significant growth and reach critical mass within the Victorian market.”

Last year, SCD Advisory bagged two international awards for deals the firm supported.

Meanwhile, at the side of seller RiseCX, Robert Roshan, founder chief technology officer ofByte, said that the joining of forces was a natural next step in the evolution of the company’s business. “After many years of close collaboration with Byte, it was time for our clients and staff to be under the same roof and create something bigger, which is very exciting for all.”
