Advisian rebrands to Worley Consulting in sustainability push
Engineering professional services firm Worley has overhauled its global branding as it strives toward a more sustainable future, with dedicated advisory arm Advisian now operating as Worley Consulting.
Advisian, the advisory arm of Sydney-headquartered international engineering heavyweight Worley, has been renamed Worley Consulting as part of a wider rebranding exercise in line with its parent’s ambitions to become a leading player in sustainable solutions.
Beyond an updated logo, Worley is committing $100 million toward accelerating the company’s transition in a bid to future-proof its business through the next 50 years.
Advisian itself was established with a similar eye to the future, launched in late 2014 as a dedicated consulting arm to better meet the changing needs of Worley’s clients in the resources, energy, infrastructure and other heavy industries. Since then, the division has completed more than 3,600 projects in 20 countries, backed by a team which has grown to around 3,000 consultants, scientists, engineers and digital experts.
To support clients with their energy transition projects, the advisory offers services in asset strategy and operational excellence, concept and feasibility studies, market research, and technology evaluation among other areas, with automation, data enablement and digital transformation key provisions. The consulting firm says that in addressing investor, regulatory, and environmental risks it helps companies to preserve their social license.
Revenues in the division grew by more than 30 percent last year alone, helping Worley push towards its 2026 strategic target of deriving 75 percent of its overall income from sustainability-related projects. Presently, that figure sits at around a 40-60 split with traditional sources, with the professional services firm to now further invest into reskilling its 50,000-strong global workforce and deepening its tech expertise in pursuit of its goal.
“But it’s not about drawing a line in the sand and moving on,” the company states. “Our journey is marked by decades of change, adaptation and growth. We’re proud of who we are and where we’ve come from. So instead of leaving our past behind, we’re building on our credibility as an engineering partner in energy, chemicals and resources to become a solutions provider leading partners and societies to a more sustainable future.”
As to its streamlined brand presence, the company says that it will serve to reduce complexity and provide a more integrated offering, while its new logo reflects the three pillars of Worley’s ambition: the imprint left by its people, the ripple effect of their work, and the positive contribution to the planet. The latter also inspired the fresh colour palette, bringing together the fundamental, life-nurturing blues, greens and reds of nature.
