Projects Assured recognises Mark Heap and Janelle Chhor with annual awards
Canberra-based management consultancy Projects Assured has issued its annual staff excellence awards to Mark Heap and Janelle Chhor, describing the pair as having gone ‘above and beyond’.
The two consultants received Projects Assured’s ‘Pillar of Excellence Award’ for 2025, which each year recognises two of the firm’s professionals who have embodied its values while excelling across all six of its business pillars
Yet, in issuing its latest awards, Projects Assured, which has been owned by HCLTech subsidiary DWS since 2018 and this year celebrated its tenth anniversary, said its two recipients demonstrated more than just an outstanding skill set.
“This year, Mark and Janelle stood out for consistently going above and beyond,” the firm stated. “They make a significant impact on how we operate every day. Whether through exceptional client delivery, guiding others through change, driving new initiatives or being the steady presence people rely on, they both represent the very best of who we are at Projects Assured.”
Currently serving as a senior consultant in Canberra, Heap has been with Projects Assured for the past eight and a half years. He previously worked in business analysis roles at the Australian Sports Commission and ATO, prior to which he was a consultant at Synergy Group and spent time at Hewlett Packard Enterprises following an earlier decade at the tax office.
“Mark is a truly deserving recipient,” the firm stated. “He has strengthened client relationships and delivered high-quality outcomes end to end through his business and Agile expertise. He mentors new staff, supports team changes with patience and clarity, and is the steady, trusted voice in complex discussions, bringing calm to pressure, direction to ambiguity, and confidence to every room.”
Last year promoted to ‘change manager’, Chhor meanwhile joined Projects Assured in 2022 from the Australian National University, where she was a cyber program co-coordinator within its National Security College, with an earlier four years spent in communications at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute following a public relations degree with the University of Canberra.
“Janelle has made a significant impact across Projects Assured this year,” the firm said. “She has strengthened our brand presence, built strong client relationships and led complex change work with clarity and confidence, while playing an important role in helping clients understand the value of effective change management. Her initiative, creativity and dedication make her an invaluable part of the team.”
