Management consultancy Projects Assured celebrates 10th anniversary
Canberra-based management consultancy Projects Assured has celebrated the 10th anniversary of its 2015 founding, with the firm having been part of DWS since 2018 and now HLCTech.
In what feels like both a very long and short time ago now, ConsultancyAU reported on Project Assured’s fifth anniversary back in 2020. Since then, the projects advisory firm has doubled the length of its existence, last month marking ten years since its establishment in Canberra by co-founders Greg Sly and David O’Rourke.
With Sly and O’Rourke having handed over to executive general manager Yas Diaz at the end of 2023, and the firm undergoing a visual brand refresh in the middle of last year, the one-decade anniversary marks Projects Assured’s third major milestone in as many years – with the promise of more big news to come.
“Over the last ten years, we’ve grown, adapted, and strengthened our business in an evolving market, expanding beyond assurance into project and program management, strategy, business transformation, and other emerging areas,” the firm said. “Our commitment to excellence has enabled us to win and retain work, navigate very difficult market shifts, and remain a workplace of choice.”
Last year’s brand update, developed in collaboration with creative consultancy Knight Studio, further included the position statement ‘Done with confidence’ and a new ‘1-3-5’ strategy, the latter which aimed to provide a clear road-map over the following one, three, and five years. The firm also reshaped its senior consultant roles to enhance career and leadership opportunities.
Celebrations
Now, at an ‘AMPLIFY: Beyond the Decade’ event to celebrate its ten-year anniversary, Projects Assured has stepped up its employee entitlements to the next level by announcing ten new benefits, including an expanded well-being and fitness program, the flexibility of enhanced parental leave and fortnightly pay, and an offer of ten ‘impact hours’ for its people to give back to the community.
“Projects Assured was founded on the belief that there was a better way to run a consulting firm – one that prioritises its people through the values of Work-Live-Reward,” the firm said. “From day one, we set out to create a workplace where our people’s well-being, career growth, and work-life balance were prioritised. A decade later, these values still remain at the core of everything we do.”
Joining IT & business management consultancy DwS Group in mid-2018, and a member of HCLTech’s global stable for the past four and a half years, Projects Assured’s more than 100 professionals support public and private sector clients across three primary segments – management advisory, information technology, and capability management services.
The firm has also continued to build up its senior ranks in recent times, with among others Danny Shoesmith coming on board from Parbery as defence portfolio general manager toward the end of last year, and ex-Telstra Purple digital services partner Vincent Bourgarel appointed business growth officer, the latter in order to lead Projects Assured’s fresh expansion into New South Wales.
