Pitcher Partners welcomes six new partners across five offices
Pitcher Partners has appointed six new partners across five of its offices nationally.
Chris Hanna
Chris Hanna has been with Pitcher Partners since 2013, having previously served Australian accountancy and advisory firm William Buck for eight years. In 2018, Adelaide based Hanna was promoted to Client Director, and now he has been admitted into the firm’s partner ranks.
He specialises in delivering finance, management and taxation advice to small and medium sized businesses in South Australia, with a focus on clients in the health sector.
Jake Berger
Also appointed a partner in the Private Business and Family Advisory practice of Pitcher Partners is Jake Berger, who is based in Sydney. He re-joined the professional services firm in 2013, after a two year stint with BDO after starting his career as a graduate at Pitcher Partners.
Berger support clients with audit and tax consulting, with a focus on income tax advisory, assisting small to medium enterprises with problematic and complex tax questions.
Peter Lawrence
Peter Lawrence has more than fifteen years of experience, most of which was gained in the accountancy and advisory industry. He worked four years across two spells for Maxim Accounting and Business Advisors, for PwC and most recently for boutique firm Doyle Partners before joining Pitcher Partners in February last year. He is based in the firm’s Newcastle office.
Lawrence has a strong depth of knowledge in cashflow management, management reporting and capital gains tax (CGT) and small business capital gains concessions, across numerous industries including property, construction, retail, childcare, hospitality and the medical profession.
Cheryl Mason
Newly appointed Brisbane-based partner Cheryl Mason has been with Pitcher Partners for twelve years now. Previously, she worked for two accounting firms in South Africa, including EY.
She works in the Audit team, focused on audit, technical accounting and financial reporting services. She has significant experience with external audit and financial reporting obligations for ASX-listed public companies and large and medium sized organisations across a range of industries including property, funds management, retail, mining, not for profit, AFSL holders and staffing.
Kieran Wallis
Prior to joining Pitcher Partners in 2015, Kieran Wallis worked in executive and CFO roles for private and multi-national ASX listed companies in the technology (GBST), services (Industrea, now General Electric) and mining sectors (RPMGlobal).
At Pitcher Partners, he is part of the Corporate Finance practice in Brisbane, specialised in the execution of mergers and acquisitions, valuations, financial modelling and forecasting, investment analysis and capital raising.
David Bedford
David Bedford’s professional background spans a range of roles in both industry and professional services. Prior to joining Pitcher Partners in 2018 he worked at Ord Minnett and the National Australia Bank before joining JBWere for 17 years, where he spent a decade as a Director of Financial Intermediaries.
Working in the firm’s Investment Advisory practice in Melbourne, Bedford specialises in advice, management and portfolio construction for private individuals, family groups and boutique institutions.
