PwC consultant Harry Peilin Li talks tech careers
Whether it’s big data, blockchain or artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0 technology is going to have a huge effect on business globally. This is especially true when it comes to the future of work – with many jobs set to become automated and by 2050, some have even said that this could lead to one half of the workforce having to re-skill.
When discussing the work of the future, at times it is easily forgotten how large a role everyone from developers to technology consultants play. Harry Peilin Li, a consultant at PwC in Melbourne, walks us through his career choice and how he went from an internship at an investment management firm to a technology consultant with one of the Big Four.
Peilin Li comments on his journey, saying of his internship and what drove him into a consulting career, “That was when I was exposed to some really cool emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain and I sort of realised I want to be a part of something like that. Something that can really shape the world. Shape our future.”
