Pitcher Partners promotes nine to partner across Australia

Nine professionals have been promoted to the top level at Pitcher Partners, including the first ever female principal in Adelaide. Other promotions were made in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Mid-tier accounting and consulting network Pitcher Partners has made nine partnership promotions across its Australian offices. An affiliate of Baker Tilly International, Pitcher Partners ranks among the nation’s top ten largest networks of its kind, last year bringing in around $280 million in revenue.

National chairman John Brazzale said the network’s ongoing growth is a reflection of its agility amid a changing business landscape.

“Our growth does not just happen, it’s the result of teams working together to deliver results and impact for our clients, even in the face of today’s economic challenges,” commented Brazzale, citing further disruptions such as the emergence of technology and artificial intelligence. “The personal stamp that our new partners bring to our practices allows us collectively to remain responsive to changing needs and help clients and their business prepare for the future.”

Lisa Tsoulakis
Among the new promotions is Lisa Tsoulakisthe first woman to be appointed to principal in Adelaide in the firm’s 40-plus year history. A member of Pitcher’s Private Business and Family Advisory practice, Tsoulakis joined the firm in 2006 after seven years at accountancy BCFR.

Jon Bode
Also member of the firm’s Private Business and Family Advisory group, Bode first joined Pitcher Partners more than twenty years ago as an undergraduate in Adelaide, steadily working his way up the senior leadership ranks. He specialises in providing management and taxation advice.

Sudha Viswanathan
Data & Analytics head Sudha Viswanathan rejoined Pitcher Partners in Melbourne in 2019, having earlier spent seven years at the firm until 2002. In between, he spent 14 years at ANZ, including as head of business analytics and insights, and two years at EnergyAustralia.

Richard King
King kicked off his career in the UK, spending five years with Grant Thornton before later joining Baker Tilly in the Cayman Islands. Following an earlier stint in Sydney, King permanently joined Pitcher Partners in 2018, and serves ASX-listed companies on audit and financial reporting.

Michael Liprino
Liprino becomes a business advisory and assurance executive director in Perth, after first joining the firm through its graduate program in 2012. Since then he has provided assurance services to many large organisations, particularly within the resources and mining sectors.

Chris Pattinson
Also stepping up to the top level in Perth is Chris Pattinson, who has served in the firm’s deal advisory and restructuring team since 2017. Another returnee, Pattinson previously spent four years at Pitcher Partners to 2011, followed by a three-year stint at Ernst & Young in Canada.

Robert Hughes
An expert in business advisory for the pharmacy sector, Robert Hughes becomes a partner in Brisbane after first joining the firm in 2016. He previously spent a decade as a business services manager at accountancy Alwyn Peffer & Company.

Edward Fletcher
Fletcher is a member of Pitch Partners Wealth Management team out of Brisbane. He joined the firm in 2019, bringing a banking background at ANZ, Westpac and Macquarie, including six and half years as specialist investment adviser at the latter.

Jordan Mitchelhill
Jordan Mitchelhill joined Pitcher Partners’ Investment Advisory team Melbourne in 2011 before later shifting into its Business Advisory and Assurance practice. He now serves clients across a range of industries, with a focus on the property & construction, agriculture and non-profit sectors.
