Mandala announces leadership appointments and further promotions
Australian economics and strategy firm Mandala has announced its annual promotions, elevating company members across the firm to the next level.
The promotions round is led by the appointment of Patrick White to Director. The cohort also sees Emily Hoare elevated to Engagement Manager and the promotion of seven Analysts to Associate, as the 60-person firm continues to build its capabilities across its economics, policy and data practices.
Patrick brings strategy consulting experience from McKinsey & Company as well as expertise in government having worked as a Chief of Staff in the House of Commons and in the Australian Parliament. He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and Harvard University.
“Patrick’s promotion to Director reflects his capabilities and insight but also points to where the firm is heading. It’s a reflection of our ambition to deliver global impact and influence as seen in recent delivered work in Australia, the UK, the US, Canada, New Zealand and the EU,” said Jo Wood, Chief Operating Partner at Mandala.
Emily is a leader in the firm’s innovation and care sector work. She helped to set up and lead the pro bono practice of Mandala, and led the firm’s ‘Fitted for Work’ offering which has been extended to other organisations in recent years such as Consent Labs.
Continuing Mandala’s focus on developing young talent and promoting from within, seven Analysts have been elevated to Associate: Kaaviyan Pathmasiri, Emily Chuah, Sasa Vanek, Syed Muhammad Fawwad, Charlie Barnes, Therese Hava and Emily La.
“Our new Associates are a reflection of the promise we make at recruitment – to be good custodians of graduate and early-stage careers, to grow them into leaders, and this group is us doubling down on this promise,” said Jo.
Amit Singh, Managing Partner at Mandala, noted that the promotions reflect the firm’s continued growth as demand rises for economics, strategy and policy advice. Founded early 2023, Mandala’s work spans technology and innovation policy, financial and regulatory frameworks, and economic strategy for governments and businesses navigating structural change.
