Synechron brings Australian acquisitions under unified brand

Global business and IT consulting firm Synechron has taken a major step in strengthening its brand in the Australian market, following the unification of its local acquisitions Chamonix IT, Exposé and iGreenData under the company brand.

All three acquisitions were completed in 2024, roughly doubling Synechron’s presence in the Australian market. Sister companies Chamonix IT and Exposé focused on digital solutions and data engineering, while Melbourne-based iGreenData specialised in cloud and data.

With the three firms now fully integrated into Synechron, the consulting and technology group has a team of more than 1,500 professionals working from offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra.

“Australia is one of the most dynamic and competitive consulting markets in the world. Clients expect both world-leading technology innovation and in-depth local experience,” said Faisal Husain, Co-Founder and CEO of Synechron. “Thanks to the addition of the Chamonix IT, Exposé and iGreenData teams, we are now perfectly placed to help Australian organisations not just embrace the future, but to lead from the front.”

Since launching in Australia twelve years ago, the US-headquartered company has delivered more than 3,200 projects across the country for government and enterprise clients. In Australia, the company works with some of the country’s leading financial institutions and also supports clients in the government, defence, utilities, education and healthcare sectors.

Under the direction of a newly appointed leadership team, Synechron aims to continue its growth, with plans to add more than 100 specialist roles in the first half of the year alone.

Led by Scott Grigg, Country Managing Director for Australia, the leadership team also includes Max Sundaram and Kelly Drewett as Managing Directors, Tim Coates as Head of Practices, and Etienne Oosthuysen as Chief Technology Officer.

“Globally, Synechron is synonymous with innovation, transformation and complex project delivery, with a rich heritage in highly regulated industries such as financial services,” said Grigg. “Pairing our on-the-ground experience and expertise with Synechron’s proprietary technology and accelerators has driven significant growth. As we move forward as one Synechron in the Australian market, we expect this growth to accelerate.”

Globally, Synechron employs more than 16,500 professionals across 21 countries. The company is headquartered in the United States.
