xAmplify ventures west with acquisition of Perth-based Accelerate IT
Technology consultancy xAmplify has expanded into Western Australia through the acquisition of local ServiceNow specialist Accelerate IT, the firm’s third purchase in barely twelve months.
Co-founded by John Boyland and Mayank Verma in 2017, Accelerate IT is an elite ServiceNow partner providing strategy, implementation and optimisation services with a focus on the government, education, mining & utilities, and consumer sectors.
The company is the third to join xAmplify since the scrapping of its ‘MARQ1’ merger last year and investment from Macquarie Capital instead, following the addition of Queensland-based TechOne specialist Green Cloud Consulting and purchase of Canberra’s CTO Group.
“Customers don’t want to manage several different partners across strategy, platforms, cyber, change management, and ongoing operations – they want one team that understands the bigger picture, brings those capabilities together, and takes responsibility for the outcome,” said xAmplify CEO Wayne Gowland, with the firm having made no secret of its national, full-service ambitions.
With its latest deal, that ‘One Digital’ agenda has now seen xAmplify stretch to both coasts alongside its Canberra headquarters and a nationwide team of now more than 250 advisors and technicians. It also sees the firm bolster its workflow automation capabilities, having previously merged with another ServiceNow specialist – TCloud of Sydney – back in 2023.
“Most organisations have plenty of technology already,” says Gowland. “What they’re trying to work out now is how they make it all work together and get more value from their investment. Five years ago, the focus was on implementing new technology. Today it’s about helping organisations embed it into the way they operate, and that’s where Accelerate IT strengthens our capability.”
Perth has been a hot-bed of activity of late for Australia’s ambitious tech consultancies (also noting it as the base for xAmplify’s failed merger partner CSO Group). V2 AI officially launched in the city last month, while Adelaide’s Bailey Abbott made the move last year and Alchemy Technology Consulting picked the city when setting up shop. Data#3 also opened a new local office in 2025.
On choosing to join xAmplify, Boyland said: “Our clients still want deep technical expertise, but they also want a partner who understands how technology fits into their organisation. This means we can continue delivering the same ServiceNow capability we’re known for while giving clients access to broader expertise across AI, organisational change, cybersecurity, and managed services.”
