HLB Mann Judd appoints four new directors across Australia
Accounting and consulting firm HLB Mann Judd has made four director promotions across Australia, covering business advisory, tax consulting, wealth management, and corporate tax.
David Ravida has been promoted to director after a decade with HLB Mann Judd’s business advisory division in Melbourne, while office colleague Tom Peskett steps up in the tax consulting team, having joined the firm at the start of 2021.
Joining the pair as newly-appointed directors are Hannah Waller, a member of HLB’s wealth management practice in Adelaide since 2023, and Sydney-based recruit Gaurav Vasnani, who recently crossed to the firm’s corporate tax team from Ernst & Young.
“Our people are central to the success of HLB Mann Judd, and these promotions recognise four of our professionals who have demonstrated technical excellence, a strong commitment to their clients, and the ability to contribute to the continued growth of their firms,” said Australasian association chair Mark Muller, who took up the top role at the beginning of the year.
Gaurav Vasnani
Vasnani brings extensive experience across corporate tax advisory & compliance, M&A transactions, tax governance, and tax function transformation, developed during stints at BDO and Deloitte prior to his past year at EY. He specialises in helping clients strategically navigate Australia’s tax system while supporting growth, governance, and operational confidence.
David Ravida
Ravida spent over three years at Shadforth Financial Group and a prior acquisition before joining HLB as a senior accountant in 2016. Today, he works closely with professional services firms, family businesses, and their associated family groups, providing advice on taxation, business and group restructures, asset protection, succession planning, and estate administration.
Tom Peskett
Peskett meanwhile spent the best part of a decade at Prime Financial up until 2021, having joined as a graduate. He specialises in providing strategic tax advice to privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors across all stages of the business life-cycle, with extensive experience across corporate tax, mergers & acquisitions, employee share schemes, and international tax.
Hannah Waller
Walker has amassed two decades worth of financial planning, superannuation, and agriculture sector experience across her career, including previous time spent at Hood Sweeney. She supports clients with wealth creation, risk protection, retirement planning, debt management, self-managed superannuation funds, insurance claims, and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies.
Waller’s office in Adelaide recently saw Corey McGowan take over as its new managing partner.
