Large and small professional services firms from around the nation have been recognised for their client excellence in the latest edition of Beaton’s Client Choice Awards.

Independently reviewed by research consultancy Beaton, the annual Client Choice Awards, which have been running for over 20 years with a focus on various segments of Australia and New Zealand’s professional services sector, are issued solely based on submitted client feedback.

In addition to its latest title in the accounting and consulting category for firms generating revenues of upwards of $200 million, RSM also took home this year’s award for the industry’s best provider of ESG services, and was a finalist for trust, innovation, and financial sector advisory.

“The team at RSM are genuinely honoured by the ongoing faith our clients place in us, as demonstrated by these awards,” the firm said of its latest victory. “In return, we are fully committed to honouring that faith through our focus on building strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience.”

There were also a number of other familiar recipient at this year’s awards, with HLB Mann Judd and Accrubacking up on 2024 in the lower revenue brackets, and boutique Lucas & Co returning to the winner’s circle after previously claiming the under $30 million title in 2022.

Once again taking home the accounting & consulting award in the $100-$200 million revenue bracket, HLB Mann Judd Australasian chair Tony Fittler said it was also particularly pleasing for the firm to be recognised as a finalists in several other categories, including as the most innovative and most trusted accounting and consulting firm.

“We continue to see significant change in our profession, and at HLB we aim to strike a balance between providing trusted, personal support and advice to our clients, while at the same time introducing innovative ways of doing things that take advantage of new technology and processes,” Fittler stated.

As well as being recognised in the revenue bracket down, it was MGI Worldwide member Accru which ultimately took home both the most innovative and most trusted accountancy awards as adjudged by the network’s clients, while newly Quadrant-backed environmental advisory EMM Consulting won the equivalent trust award in the built & natural environment category.

“What makes these awards particularly meaningful is that they are based entirely on our client feedback,” stated Accru Sydney partner and current national chair Rebecca Beitzel. “Winning ‘most trusted firm’ is a tremendous honour and we remain committed to delivering outstanding results for our clients well into the future.”

In other categories, trans-Tasman advisory Morrison Low won the award for best management consulting firm, Cathro & Partners was named best insolvency & restructuring firm, and Arup was awarded best built & natural environment consultancy in the $200 million-plus category – with the engineering & design provider also winning best professional services firm overall.

“Congratulations to all winners and finalists for setting the benchmark in client experience and demonstrating what excellence in professional services truly looks like.” commented Beaton executive chair George Beaton. “Leading firms in the awards don’t just meet client expectations; they manage and exceed them. They listen, adapt and continuously improve.”
