“This year we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our AWS Partner Network program, and the incredible contribution our AWS Partners have made to support the digital transformation of Australia and New Zealand customers,” said Sumal Karunanayake, AWS Head of Partner Sales for ANZ. “Every day, AWS Partners help our customers innovate, transform, and leverage the latest technologies on the cloud.”

Sydney’s CMD Solutions, which was acquired by growing tech consultancy Mantel Group in 2019, was named both Services and Migration Partner of the Year, the former award given for its work with bot migration software provider Kasada in enabling its platform to support extreme traffic spikes of up to 1 million requests per minute. The latest AWS recognition follows a Consulting Partner of the Year award in 2020.

Following on from last year’s global systems integrator award, Deloitte has this year claimed the Data and Analytics Partner of the Year title for its collaboration with Telstra to deliver a customer decision engine, which leveraged a full suite of AWS services to drive personalised experiences across the customer life-cycle. Deloitte was also noted for its work with New Zealand telecommunications company Chorus.

In addition to the data & analytics award, the firm’s recent acquisition Intellify took out the Machine Learning gong for the third time in four years. Intellify was recognised for multiple projects across Origin Energy’s Retail, LPG and Integrated Gas business units – projects that have “resulted in outcomes such as being able to predict a customer’s cross-sell likelihood, customer-level demand forecasting, and pricing optimisation.”

Meanwhile, this year’s Global Systems Integrator title went to Tata Consultancy Services for its strategic cloud transformation partnership with Foxtel, with the firm having last time out won the Application Transformation and Migration Partner award. TCS was noted for having delivered data centre consolidation and application migration and modernisation for Foxtel, as well as enhanced customer experience programs.

Awarded with Public Sector Partner of the Year, Accenture was highlighted as having achieved AWS Premier Tier Services Partner status with over 28,000 AWS Certifications and more than 20 AWS Competencies. The professional services giant was specifically cited for its work in helping to revolutionise customer identity and verification with the Australian Tax Office, which has removed the need for in-person visits.

Other AWS award winners were: Consegna (Services Partner of the Year – New Zealand), Local Measure (Software Partner of the Year – Australia), The Clinician (Software Partner of the Year – New Zealand), Sumo Logic (ANZ Global Software Partner of the Year), VoiceFoundry (Contact Center Partner of the Year), Skedulo (AWS Social Impact Partner of the Year), and Experience Digital (AWS Rising Star of the Year).
