Caliba Group rebrands as Argon & Co following integration

Six months after acquiring Australian procurement consultancy Caliba Group, Argon & Co has completed its integration.

Acquired in November last year, Caliba Group was one of Australia’s leading procurement-focused consultancies, specialising in sectors including healthcare, heavy industry, government, transport, logistics, and food & beverage.

Caliba Group’s 20-person team has now transitioned to the Argon & Co brand, which as a result has over 160 consultants spread across offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane.

Founders of Caliba Group, Jim Cowan and Daniel Williams, who join Argon & Co as Partners and will lead the ANZ procurement offering, added, “We are delighted to be enhancing Argon & Co’s procurement expertise.”

Welcoming the news out of Australia, Argon & Co’s Paris-based Group Managing Director Jean-François Laget said the move continues an exciting expansion drive in the region (Caliba Group was the firm’s fifth ANZ deal in just as many years). “We are thrilled to welcome their deep in-market expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to the business.”

In April this year, Argon & Co acquired Pebble Business Transformation, an Irish management consultancy firm with close to 30 staff. Private equity-backed Argon & Co has over 600 staff worldwide.
