HLB Mann Judd appoints Peter Gardiner to growth role
HLB Mann Judd’s Sydney branch has set its sights on breaking the $50 million revenue barrier in the next two years by appointing Peter Gardiner to a new corporate development executive role.
Gardiner’s position has been formalised after joining the accounting and consulting firm last year following a stint operating Saltire Capital Partners, before which he spent time at Findex and earlier Ernst & Young.
HLB Mann Judd Sydney managing partner Tony Fittler said Gardiner would play a major part in helping the firm to realise its ambitions of growing to more than two dozen partners and $50 million in revenue by 2026.
“Peter’s appointment forms a significant stepping stone in achieving these ambitions,” Fittler stated. “He brings a breadth and depth of experience in business strategy and revenue growth, corporate development and advisory, and M&A activity, and allows us to build on the strength and reputation of HLB Mann Judd and its focus on client service.”
Gardiner altogether brings more than three decades worth of experience in the financial services, accounting and banking industries in Australia, Asia and the UK, with more than eight years also spent at ANZ. Prior to establishing Saltire, he spent four years at Findex, including as global head of business development and executive managing partner of specialist services.
After arriving from the UK upon successfully exiting his own wealth management business, Gardiner led EY’s growth markets strategy out of Sydney for four and a half years to 2010, and maintained a close relationship with Bentleys during his time at Saltire. He will now focus on driving opportunities in HLB’s corporate advisory division.
