Deloitte leads the SAP consulting partners honours list for 2023
Global professional services firm Deloitte has followed up on big win last year to once again bag a trio of SAP Partner Excellence Awards, with a host of rivals and smaller consultancies also recognised on the night.
Enterprise resource planning giant SAP has hosted its annual Partner Excellence Awards for Australia and New Zealand at an event in Sydney, with Deloitte backing up on last year’s efforts to once again bag three titles, including the premier award ‘RISE with SAP.’
The ‘RISE with SAP’ was awarded to Deloitte for “being the strongest partner in generating outstanding number of deals, pipeline growth, project delivery, partner certifications and authorisations,” stated SAP in a press release.
In addition, Deloitte also took home the accolades for ‘Cloud Customer Engagement’ and ‘SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud’ to equal its 2022 swag.
“We are very excited for our incredible people and for our amazing clients to have been recognised with three SAP Partner Excellence Awards as presented at SAP’s 2023 Partner Ecosystem Success Summit in Sydney last week,” said Deloitte’s national SAP leader Frank van Niekerk, whose longtime former boss, ex-CEO Punit Renjen, was last week named to succeed SAP co-founder Hasso Plattner as the company’s next global chairman.
“Our partners play a crucial role supporting our customers to grow and succeed,” said SAP A/NZ managing director Damien Bueno. “This was especially evident last year as we came together to help organisations across Australia navigate market uncertainty and the lasting impacts of the pandemic. The submissions received are testament to the innovation, creativity and collaboration that is flourishing in Australia and New Zealand.”
In 2022, Deloitte further ramped up its SAP operations in Australia with the launch of a SAP AppHause innovation centre in Sydney.

Meanwhile, fellow big consultancies Accenture, DXC Technology, Ernst & Young and PwC also each received an award across the sixteen categories up for grabs, alongside a handful of smaller boutiques.
