V2 AI pushes into Asia Pacific with new office in Singapore
Data & AI consultancy V2 AI, which was established in Australia in 2023, has now expanded into Singapore, with recent managing director recruit Hannah Williams to lead the new regional hub.
The brainchild of former Contino Asia Pacific managing director Craig Howe, V2 AI has been on a roll since its inception three years ago, notably in having secured the backing of private equity firm Columbia Capital and in its recent run of senior recruits.
One of those recruits, Hannah Williams, who joined the firm earlier this year from Amazon, will now lead its expansion into Singapore, one of the world’s leading technology and innovation hubs, while the firm also continues to recruit for a new Perth office.
“Enterprise organisations across Asia Pacific are entering a new phase of AI adoption,” Howe said. “They’re looking for partners who can move beyond proofs of concept to deliver enterprise-grade AI that is secure, governed and delivers measurable business outcomes. That’s exactly where V2 AI has built its reputation, and Singapore provides the ideal platform for our next phase of growth.”
Williams brings over a decade of senior experience to the new venture at two of the world’s largest tech giants – Amazon and SAP – the latter where she served as A/NZ general manager for HR cloud platform SAP SuccessFactors before later joining AWS in a series of senior roles, including A/NZ head of strategic initiatives for enterprise, and then ultimately leading Amazon LEO across the APJ.
“V2 AI is building a local team in Singapore spanning leadership, sales, consulting, engineering, delivery, and change management to support our customers and partnerships throughout Asia and strengthen the firm’s position as a leading enterprise AI partner,” Williams stated. “This new hub will complement our existing footprint across Australia and in Kuala Lumpur.”
That footprint in Australia is also set to grow beyond V2 AI’s existing east coast base, which includes outlets in Melbourne and Brisbane alongside its Sydney HQ, with the firm last month soft-launching in Western Australia and currently recruiting for a range of Perth-based roles, including data and AI principal engineers, with some “exciting new hires to be announced soon.”
Described by the firm’s as its ‘beachhead’ for Asia Pacific expansion, V2 meanwhile cited Singapore’s standing as a global tech & innovation hub, combined with government support for AI and growing investment in the technology among multinational enterprises, as making it the perfect location from which to support customers as they continue to scale AI across their organisations.
